Python vertebrae

Museum of Life Sciences, London

Diagrams showing the complex anatomy of python vertebrae, as well as how they articulate together. These help students and visitors to better understand the specimens on display. These diagrams were also used as teaching printouts for King’s College students.
The illustrations were drawn with ink and coloured markers, in order to accurately represent the intricate shape of the vertebrae. They were created with the scientific knowledge and advice of Gillian Sales, the museum’s curator.
