Continuous Glucose Monitoring
French Federation of Diabetics
These two illustrations explain information pertaining to continuous glucose monitoring for diabetic patients.
The first diagram presents the difference between measuring glucose levels in the interstitial fluid with a glucose sensor, and measuring glucose levels in the blood with a lancing device.
The second diagram illustrates the time-lag between levels of glucose in the blood and levels in the interstitial fluid.
These illustrations were drawn with ink and coloured digitally with Photoshop.
